UC provides a range of training opportunities for faculty, students, and staff to ensure that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to create accessible and inclusive content.
Accessibility Compliance Training
The EIT Accessibility Training is a mandatory training offered by the University of Cincinnati Accessibility Network to ensure that all faculty, staff, and student workers understand the legal requirements and best practices for creating accessible electronic and information technology (EIT) content. This training covers topics such as creating accessible documents, videos, and websites, as well as assistive technology and captioning. The training is required for all new employees and is recommended for all current employees who work with EIT
Level Access Academy
The Level Access On-Demand Training Academy is a comprehensive online platform that provides extensive training on digital accessibility, compliance, and inclusive design. The academy features a range of courses designed for different levels of expertise, from beginners to advanced users, and covers topics such as accessibility testing, user experience design, and accessibility laws and regulations. The courses are created and taught by experienced accessibility professionals and are continuously updated to reflect the latest developments in accessibility standards and technologies.
Digital Inclusion Day
Digital Inclusion Day is an annual training opportunity open to all UC faculty, staff, and students with the tools and knowledge they need to create accessible digital content. The event includes informative sessions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities. By attending Digital Inclusion Day, participants can deepen their understanding of accessibility best practices, improve their digital content creation skills, and ultimately help make the university more inclusive and accessible for all. Attendance is highly encouraged for those who work with digital content on a regular basis
